AIR BORN
Inspired by Ms. Kresge's visits to China and Japan, AIR BORN responds to traditional forms in personal and imaginative ways. A collaboration with poet Melinda Kennedy, the text and imagery lyrically describe the elements of the world. Each print represents an element and the book is organized to visually take flight from the earth to the air. Directions by sculptor/ kite artist Tal Streeter describe how to string and fly the kites. The pages/kites are housed in a handmade, hand printed cloth covered folding box. Relief etching, collagraph, chine colle, letterpress and handmade kozo paper.
