Ann M. Kresge
Introduction:
Ann M. Kresge is a printmaker and book artist who lives in New York City and the Mid-Hudson region of New York State. Her limited edition Artists' Books and prints have been exhibited internationally and are in many museum, library, university and private collections. Her work responds in personal ways to a variety of cultures and places she has traveled to and lived in.
Her work is multi-layered and textured, combines many print media and frequently incorporates handmade papers. Her Artists' Books are collaborations with poets, writers and storytellers. They expand the concept of "book" into sculptural and temporal forms. Her most recent, AIR BORN, which is featured on this site, is as much an event as a book as each page is a flyable kite/print!
